Lovely Short Break

Casita is located in a great location, Old Santa Fe is just over 1 1/2miles away and there are a number of beautiful walks close by. The casita is very secure and private. The open fire was just the thing on the cold evenings. Anaiz, the agent, was excellent and promptly and perfectly dealt with every single issue.

From the moment we unpacked, we were so happy with this beautifully decorated and thoughtfully stocked guesthouse. It’s a light and bright space with great art, plenty of room to spread out, and everything you need to enjoy the indoor & outdoor spaces. We thoroughly enjoyed the nature surrounding the guesthouse; looked forward to morning coffee on the patio every day with so many birds and bunnies about; went for many gorgeous walks around museum hill during the day; and would head back outside at the end of the day for some bubbly and sunset views. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and we absolutely loved having a BBQ and outside dining area. The decor really takes this space over the top - no generic art that you usually find in guesthouses - it felt like home, complete with an upscale washer and dryer. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and cannot wait to escape to this amazing home away from home again!

Relaxed Quarantine

This place was just awesome! And very very charming.

We weren't sure about coming to Santa Fe under quarantine restrictions, but it really couldn't have worked out any better. The casita is part of an enclosed estate so we had perfect privacy and the walled in patio was the perfect place to enjoy some distant views while our two little dogs enjoyed the grass. We ordered our food for delivery and the kitchen was well equipped and very functional. The building is nearly 100 years old, but updated to combine historical charm with upscale modern conveniences.

Once our quarantine period was over, we had wonderful mountain hiking nearby and historic old town is only about a mile away. This was perhaps our best VRBO experience ever.

Love this place! The host and property manager thought of everything down to a vase of fresh flowers from the property to doggie treats for our little teacup chihuahua. Property manager was responsive immediately when we needed help with the tv (user error) and the ice maker. Beautiful grounds, very quiet, lovely casita, and the most comfortable bed ever! Only regret was that we couldn't extend our stay.

Perfect location, close to town but away from it all! The morning fragrances from flora and fauna were heavenly! Natural aromatherapy is always the best! Surrounded by art, beauty, peace and enchantment! Anaiz is a most efficient and professional property manager. Noel, the owner, is VERY accommodating.

One of the big reasons we selected this property was the outdoor space. I'm so glad we did -we often started our day with a cup of coffee in the beautiful little yard, and it is incredible -absolutely quiet and still, bathed in morning sun. This VRBO property is so comfortable and so homey, that it made us feel as if we were living in Santa Fe for a week rather than just visiting. There are two separate sitting rooms, which makes it very pleasant if one person wants to watch tv and another wants to look through guidebooks or read. Every little detail about this home is perfect: the shower is hot and plentiful, the sheets and towels are top-notch, the kitchen is well outfitted, and the place is fastidiously clean. We also really enjoyed the selection of books on hand, which are nicely curated for local relevance. The phone call from the property manager after we checked in to be sure everything was in order was appreciated too. And the fresh flowers were just over the top! Highly recommend!!!!

The Best in Santa Fe

This was not our first visit because it is so well-run and doggie friendly. The kitchen is missing nothing. (leave your favorite pan at home) and the yards with their blooming roses are lovely. This property is maintained by a staff of people that do very good work. And how can you ask more than Old Santa Fe Trail?

The best. The neighborhood is perfect. (Walk up the to Museum Hill Cafe)

This is truly the nicest place in Santa Fe to stay (whether you have a doggie or not)

It is immaculately clean. And any help you may need is just a telephone call away;

The walled in backyard is just sweet. In the spring and summer there are roses blooming all over the place!

My family and I loved this little casita. It had anything and everything we needed. It was so nice coming back at the end of every day. There were 4 of us, plus 2 small dogs and we had plenty of room. The backyard was the perfect place to relax in the morning. The location is amazing and close to everything. The only issue is the living room TV couldn’t get a signal, but we rarely had time to watch anyway. Overall, we would definitely rent again and would recommend to anyone!

We now have our, "Go To", place in Santa Fe!!

We have a dog (a standard poodle) who is always with us and this wonderful little casita allows her to stay. The casita has a walled in back area with grass and a little walled in front area with flowers. So she (the queen poodle) is safe and happy and so are we! The kitchen has more supplies than my own kitchen and the king sized bed is comfy too.

We have stayed at other casitas in Santa Fe and ended up calling a friend who is a vet and getting a prescription because our dog got so sick. I imagine it was something sprayed on the yard? Don't know but it was very distressing. It has never happened at this casita. We have stayed twice and will always check there first before travelling.

Great location to Santa Fe plaza and other attractions. Very private, well appointed, comfortable bed, good kitchen wares, homey feel (especially the patio), good price, and OMG I love the master closet/dressing room! I really give it 4.5 stars as I believe it would be best if it had some comfortable lounge chairs, not just the chaises on both the patio and living room. Also, the TV and WiFi were lacking - but, hey, we tethered off our phones. Would rent again and recommend.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay! The casita is decorated beautifully, and has a secluded patio with comfortable lounge chairs.

It really gave us a sense of what living on Old Santa Fe Trail must feel like. Interesting and original artwork is on display throughout the house. We really appreciated the quality of the tasteful decor, down to the beds, linens, and the well-stocked kitchen, it had everything you could possibly imagine. It is in a peaceful and quiet location, close to downtown. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the property. The owner offered us privacy, and the property manager gave us support with prompt responses to any questions we had. I would not want to stay anywhere else in Santa Fe!

I loved, loved, loved staying at this lovely casita for six months! A real feel for old Santa Fe - quiet and peaceful in a beautiful area. The casita is charming and filled with original artwork by the owner and other local artists. I loved the beautiful outdoor space. This casita is a real gem!

This is indeed a lovely little house, which we really enjoyed -- very well equipped, excellent support from the owner, and lots of beautiful things to look at. It seems far out of town, but it's only a 30-minute walk to the Plaza (and 15 minutes to the farthest museum on Museum Hill).

My husband and I were here for close to 2 weeks over Christmas and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is perfect -- just a short drive from the Plaza and walking distance from museums. The casita is situated on a very large gated property but is very private with its own fenced yard. It's cozy, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything one could possibly need. We can't say enough about Noel and Gabriel. They are incredibly thoughtful and kind hosts who want you to love Santa Fe and its history as much as they do. We highly recommend the house and will most definitely be back.

We had a great stay in Santa Fe, and this casita was perfect. It is close to the Santa Fe Plaza, but is still secluded and private. We had a relaxing time and the kitchen had everything we needed for a romantic dinner. The garden area offered a great space for morning coffee. We love spending time in Santa Fe and this location is perfect for site seeing. We will definitely come back.

This is the perfect place to stay - loved it! From the gorgeous decor to the thoughtfully stocked kitchen, there's no place else I'd rather stay in Santa Fe. It's secluded and safe, but so close to museums and downtown. They thought of everything when setting up the casita and if I could live there, I would!
